Engraving considered as hole and vice-versa

Hello,

I hope you are fine

I am trying to cut windows (should be blue) and engrave a mosaic (should be black)

But mosaic is sometime considered as cutting and cutting is considered as engraving

I hope my file is not messed up

I think what youโ€™re running into is that we really only support 3D objectsโ€ฆ That is, your engraving cut Iโ€™m assuming is something that you want to use a V Bit and cut directly on the lines that make up the window.

For Fabber to pick those up youโ€™re going to have to use Push Pull to make some pockets out of those windows, that way when the model is scanned we can see the height difference in the faces and make a toolpath.

That toolpath will be an โ€œINSIDEโ€ toolpath, but you can just change the layer name in Illustrator, Inkscape, or your laser cutting software if you want.
