The 1/2 ellipses below are not rendering properly in VCarve when I import the svg file from Fabber.

I’m assuming you’re getting a very segmented arc when you import that… Here’s what’s happening:
SketchUp can only track the radii of arcs and circles. When you take an arc and you scale it, it’s not a straight radius anymore, so Fabber will still import it, but you’ll get the segments. You can increase the amount of segments to get a smoother elipse, and you can go even farther by way of smoothing those segments in VCarve.
